Beads measure about 5mm in diameter. These beads have a range from light translucent to dark and nearly opaque bodies. A strong Iolite purple-indigo coloration is evident across strands. Pleochroism is evident in the form of a warm tan and grey color shift on many beads when viewed from changing angles.
