Amazonite is an opaque microcline feldspar gemstone displaying green, blue to greenish blue hues with an internal shiller and white calcite streaks. Amazonite beads are mined in Brazil, Norway, Madagascar, Russia and Pikes Peak, Colorado. Our gemstones have a deeply saturated strongly greenish caribbean ocean blue hue with white calcite internal characteristics as streaks. Amazonite derived its name from the Amazon Rainforest.
