Dumoretierite is a primarily blue stone with a vitreous structure, which can also be found in purple verging on pink. This quality, coupled with its ranging from translucent to opaque and hint of pleochrosim contribute to a unique and understated appearance that rivals Lapis Lazuli as the King of Deep Blue stones.
